Call for CSEB Workshop Proposals for 2011 North American Epidemiology Congress
Submissions are currently being accepted for pre-conference workshop proposals for the upcoming North American Epidemiology Congress meeting in Montreal, June 21-24, 2011.
Interested individuals are asked to complete a workshop proposal
to Thy Dinh by
September 3rd, 2010
Some things to consider as you prepare your proposal:
- Workshops can be one-half to a full day.
- Workshops can cover a wide range of topics, from the latest in theoretical methods to public health policy.
- Workshops should be educational, and not just a series of research presentations.
- The best workshops often cover material that is of interest to novices and experts in a particular area.
- Interaction with workshop participants is often very valuable.
Workshop proposals will be reviewed by an internal CSEB committee
and those
selected will be forwarded to the Congress Symposia Committee. Travel and
accommodation will be covered for workshop leaders.
If you have any questions, please contact Thy Dinh.

This initiative will support programs of research in the following areas: 1) pathways to health equity, 2) population health interventions, and 3) implementation systems for population health interventions in public health and other sectors.
For more information on these themes, please consult the IPPH Strategic Plan (2009-2014): www.cihr-irsc.gc.ca/e/27322.html
