LA-SER-CRR is a fast growing medium-sized group, undertaking large-scale projects and providing consultancy services relating to the impact of pharmaceuticals, devices and medicines on the populations’ health and health systems in Europe and North America.

Job description:
LA-SER-CRR is seeking a talented Epidemiologist to join a team of highly skilled scientists, consultants and operational managers in order to become the responsible scientist for pharmacoepidemiological studies conducted in Canada. The successful candidate will demonstrate her/his ability in epidemiologic methods.

You will work on international projects in collaboration with the Scientific Chair, the Scientific VP (Int’l), the VP Pharmacoepidemiology and the Chief Operating Officer (Int’l).

Your activities regroup:
- Direction of projects in pharmacoepidemiology in Canada, including case-control studies, cohort studies, surveys and analysis of electronic health care databases.
- Collaboration with the COOs in the supervision of the project managers.
- Ensure the quality of the data collected.
- Writing and supervision of study protocols and research tools (research forms, questionnaires).
- Animation and participation to scientific committees.
- Supervision of descriptive data analysis in collaboration with the Biometry department.
- High level analysis of data and modelization.
- Production of study reports, publications and communications, and participation to scientific conferences.
- Applications for projects (bids).
- Relations with partners and clients.
- Budgeting and follow-up of project expenses.

Training:
- PhD in Epidemiology with post-doctoral work OR MD/Pharm.D + MSc in epidemiology.
- Knowledge of pharmacoepidemiological issues is an asset.

Skills:
Quantitative epidemiology and aptitudes to team management.
Knowledge of field studies in Epidemiology constitutes a strong asset for this position.
